The consultation closes on 31 May 2022.

The consultation is part of the Government’s review of Working for Families, to understand how it can be improved to better meet the needs of families in New Zealand. The review is part of the ongoing response to the Welfare Expert Advisory Group’s recommendations. Public consultation is being held to gain feedback from people receiving Working for Families payments, to help the Government understand where to focus their efforts for the review.

Working for Families tax credits support low-income families to have enough money to live, help to reduce child poverty, and support low-income families to take up work.
