Re-apply for COVID-19 Leave Support Scheme

If you've already applied for the COVID-19 Leave Support Scheme for an employee, you can re-apply for that same person in the last week of the payment period.

Applied when it was 'Essential Workers Leave Support'

If you first applied for your employee when this payment was called 'Essential Workers Leave Support', you can re-apply for the same employee following the Leave Support Scheme reapplication process below. You'll need to agree to the Leave Support Scheme declaration in the form. Your obligations for the use of the payment won't change.

Declarations:

When you need to re-apply

Information

If you're applying for an employee for the first time, you need to go to the 'How to apply'' page.

When you apply for the COVID-19 Leave Support Scheme, it covers the wages of your employees over a 2 week period.

If you need to re-apply for the same employee after the 2 weeks is up, you can do this in the last week.

You can keep re-applying for the same employee as long as the payment is available and you meet the criteria.

For example: You applied on 30 September 2020. This covers the wages of your employees from Wednesday 30 September 2020 to Tuesday 13 October 2020. If you need to re-apply, you can do this in the second week which is 6 October 2020 to 13 October 2020.

If you apply too early

If you apply too early, ie before the last week, we won't be able to process your application. You'll need to re-apply again in the last week.

How to re-apply

What online form you fill out depends on whether you have people working for you or not.

You'll be asked to declare again that you meet the criteria and agree to the obligations for the use of the payment.
