Here at Work and Income, we help over a million people a year on behalf of the New Zealand Government.
We may be able to help if you haven't got a job and need money to live. Or if you're working but need money to help pay your bills. If you have extra costs because of a disability we might be able to help as well.
We also pay NZ Super to people aged over 65.
Please talk with us if you need help with housing. We can talk with you about a range of options that can help you find a warm, safe, dry and secure place.
We can also help you find a job.
The Work and Income website has information about how we can help and how to apply. For most people, the easiest way to apply for help is online using MyMSD. You can do lots of other things in MyMSD like booking appointments and checking your payments from us. Find out about MyMSD on our website.
If you're Deaf you can text us (029 286 7170) or email us.
If you meet with us, you can bring someone along to help you.
If you want a NZSL interpreter, let us know before your meeting. We'll be happy to arrange one for you. This is a free service, you don't have to pay.
We want you to get good service from us. Our website tells you what service you can expect from us.
It also tells you what to do if you're not happy with our service or a decision we've made, and how you can make a complaint or give us feedback.
If you are struggling to support yourself or your family or have nowhere to stay, please get in touch with us. Even if we can't help, we may know another organisation that can.
Remember, Work and Income is here to help you and your family when you need it.
