If there's been an emergency event, we may be able to help, even if you're not on a benefit.
Emergency response
If there's an emergency event (e.g. flooding or an earthquake), we can make Civil Defence Payments available. If you've been affected by an emergency event and these payments are available, you may be able to get one.
Find information about previous payments that were available during COVID-19. This includes the COVID-19 Wage Subsidies, Income Relief Payment, Short-Term Absence Payment and Leave Support Scheme.
Farmers affected by adverse events
Rural Assistance Payments can help farmers during or after an adverse event, e.g. a flood or drought.
If there's been an emergency event that's caused significant damage, eg earthquake or flood, the Government may approve an Enhanced Taskforce Green work programme to help with clean-up and recovery.
